​WHO WE ARE:

The “E.Entertainment” is a youth project that reaches out to the children and youth from in and outside Kampala marginalized urban and rural communities, through empowering and mentoring Christian leadership skills and developing their artistic abilities. For example, through music and dance skills, visual and media arts, poetry, art and design.
Basing on the current situation of Uganda, statistics show that the youth make up 75% of the total population, 25% are enrolled in school, 10% are full time workers and 35% are estimated to be school dropouts and unemployed. This situation is due to the increasing educational costs and a wide spread poverty.
It is therefore very important for us to establish a system that is going to provide the victims of the above described situation through equipping them with the necessary guidance, leadership and mentorship, in order to develop their inner artistic abilities,that could possibly earn them a successful living and also help them to achieve higher education for better jobs and living conditions.
Our focus is to help the youth discover and develop their talents and skills so that they use them effectively in the struggle to eradicate urban youth poverty and illiteracy. We  discovered the need for youth empowerment in the talents sector two years back and when we started operating undercover yet also achieved success through organizing “ The Dance Festivals” where young dancing groups come and show case in a competition with a price attached. In this, we have successfully attracted many young people who come to witness the festival. Therefore we have been able spot young talents and also share with them a positive youth lifestyle of self development in order to pursue a common goal of excellence as christian leaders growing into responsible citizens of this country Uganda.
THE NEED:
In our daily walks of life, we have been able to understand and identify the needs of young people living in the marginalized societies of Uganda. And to our knowledge of such needs, it’s been inevitable for us to act as their voices and representatives to the entire world.
Majority of the youth in Uganda especially the school dropouts, the unemployed and low income earners have engaged themselves in very cruel and life- risking activities like robbery, drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana,theft,murder,prostitution,gambling among others. To them life seems hopeless so they end up wasting it.
Most of the families cannot afford educational facilities for their children because of the high costs of living and wide spread poverty.
The employment opportunities are also very scarce and require high qualifications. Those available are too competitive and of low wages/ salaries hence discouraging hard work and resulting to increasing urban unemployment.
It is also noticed that many young people have natural gifts/ talents that could possibly help them dig their way out to a successful living. But they only need someone to develop their dreams and provide them with the right contacts of people to groom them.
E.Entertainment is therefore necessary of establishment to help convey young people from different walks of life an opportunity to express themselves creatively for a common goal of youth advancement.
